Yellow Box Dumpster Rules and Policies

1. Rental Rates:
• 3-day rental:
• $280 must be paid to reserve.
• $297 if you need same-day service (must be paid to reserve).
• 7-day rental: $350 (includes 1.5 tons of waste inside the dumpster).
• If you need the dumpster for a longer period, check availability and additional fees.
2. Overweight Charges and Additional Fees:
• The rental includes 1.5 tons of waste.
• Additional weight charge: $65 per extra ton.
• If the dumpster exceeds the weight limit, you will be notified with the exact amount and additional cost.
• Shingles: If disposing of shingles, the customer must indicate how many squares before rental to calculate the overweight cost.
• Additional fees:
• Tires: $20 per tire.
• Mattresses: $30 per mattress.
3. Prohibited Materials:
The following materials cannot be disposed of in the dumpster:

❌ Dirt
❌ Bricks
❌ Hazardous chemicals
❌ Paint, oils, solvents
❌ Tires (unless the additional fee is paid)
❌ Batteries
❌ Large electronics (TVs, refrigerators, AC units)
❌ Asbestos-containing debris
❌ Gasoline or flammable liquids
❌ Medical or biological waste
🚨 If any of these materials are found in the dumpster, the customer will be responsible for proper disposal costs and a $150 fine for non-compliance. Alternatively, the prohibited materials may be returned to the property.
4. Payment Methods:
• Prepayment guarantees the $280 rate for a 3-day rental.
• We accept Zelle, credit card, debit card, and cash. NO CHECKS.
• Credit card payments have a 4% processing fee.
• No deliveries will be made without prior payment.
5. Delivery and Pickup:
• Dumpsters will be delivered on the scheduled day between 8 AM and 5 PM. Customers will receive a 15-minute notice before arrival.
• If the customer does not specify where to place the dumpster, the driver has the right to choose the best location.
• The customer must ensure the delivery area is clear.
• We do not place dumpsters on public streets without municipal permits. Customers are responsible for obtaining any necessary permits.
• Automatic pickup: The dumpster will be collected at the end of the rental period without prior notice.
• If the dumpster is blocked at pickup time, a $50 additional trip fee will be charged.
• If the customer requests a relocation after delivery, there is a $100 relocation fee.
6. Location and Responsibility:
• The customer is responsible for ensuring that the dumpster is placed in a suitable and authorized area.
• Yellow Box is not responsible for property damage caused by dumpster placement. We recommend using wood planks or supports to prevent damage to pavement or grass.
• If the customer moves or damages the dumpster, a $700 repair or replacement fee will be applied.
• If the customer requests the dumpster to be placed on a steep driveway or uneven terrain, Yellow Box is not responsible for any issues or damages.
7. Cancellations and Refunds:
• Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance for a full refund.
• Cancellations within 24 hours of delivery will incur a $50 operational fee.
• No refunds for early pickup.
8. Rental Extensions:
• If you need more time with the dumpster, you must request an extension at least 24 hours in advance.
• Extension fee: $20 per additional day after the rental period.
9. Safety and Proper Use:
• Do not overload the dumpster. Waste must not exceed the top edge of the container. If objects fall when lifting the dumpster, they will be left on the property.
• If the dumpster is overfilled or poorly loaded, it will not be picked up, and a $50 failed pickup fee will apply.
• The customer is responsible for ensuring that the dumpster contents are safe for transport.
• If the dumpster poses a safety risk, Yellow Box reserves the right not to pick it up until the load is adjusted.
• The dumpster doors must be closed and properly secured before pickup. If the doors are not closed, the customer must fix the issue or pay an additional fee.
10. Disposal of Appliances:
• If the customer disposes of refrigerators, freezers, or large appliances, they must be placed near the dumpster door for easy pickup. (Refrigerators must be empty and clean inside.) Otherwise, they will be left on the property.
• If not properly placed, the customer must rearrange the load before pickup.
